Trinity Valley Community College recognized two faculty members with the Ray Williams Teaching Excellence Award during May graduation ceremonies. Nursing professor Judy Callicoatt received the award for workforce education and Terrell professor Sheree Daniel-Huddleston received the academic education award.
“I was very excited to hear Judy was chosen to receive this prestigious award,” said TVCC Health Science Center Provost Dr. Helen Reid. “One of the comments from students was that they liked her guidance in class, patience with answering their questions, and availability for students, which I think sums up her 20 plus years’ service to TVCC so well.”
“Sheree is one of those faculty members who are extremely passionate about her discipline and her students,” said TVCC Terrell Provost Dr. Algia Allen. “Students who dreaded taking a biology course many times become very involved in one or more aspects of the course due to her excitement and enthusiasm.”
Named for longtime TVCC teacher and administrator Ray Williams, the award recognizes outstanding faculty members for teaching excellence, and comes with a $500 check for each recipient.
